Swim Starts next week! Here's some important things to remember:

1. Registration and your last opportunity to purchase custom Wake Aquatics suits closes on the night of Monday, May 30th. That's in only FIVE DAYS!!! Spread the word!!!!
2. Practices begin next Tuesday and will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week until July 7th. July 12-14th practices will be for swimmers who qualify for State only. There will also be a State exclusive practice Saturday morning July 16th (hours will be posted on our website over the weekend).
3. First practice begins at 6:15pm and runs until approximately 7pm. This practice is for ages 4-10 (as of May 31st of the current year).
4. Second practice begins at approximately 7pm and runs until approximately 7:45pm. This practice is for ages 11-18 (as of May 31st of the current year).
5. Next week is for try-outs. Try-outs are MANDATORY for new members who have not swam a full season with Wake Aquatics before. You will need to be there at least one day next week to qualify for the team, during the time designated above for your age group. If your swimmer is unable to successfully swim the length of the pool unassisted, we will let you know and a refund of your registration and any other associated purchases / costs will be issued. These decisions are final and are made to ensure the safety and best interest of our swimmers. We encourage those who are unsuccessful to work on their swimming through alternative programs or parent / self development and try out again next year. Any questions in regards to decisions made for cuts should be directed at our board member staff and NOT the coach during practice as he'll be working with the swimmers.
6. Please familiarize yourself with the handbook posted on our website here and make sure your swimmers know what is expected of them at practice. As a reminder - you should be there in time for practice to begin (swimmers enter the water promptly based on speed, so late entries disrupt the flow of practice). In addition, please ensure you're there for end of practice pickup if you don't stay to watch and encourage your swimmers. 
7. Finally, our entire schedule will be posted on our team website this weekend so you can begin making plans for future events. Most notably, our Mock meet is scheduled for Saturday June 11th beginning at 8am. This is the most important meet of the entire year as this will determine seed times for your swimmers in all subsequent meets. If we don't have times for your swimmers they may not be eligible to participate in future circuit meets. If you have conflicts with this date please discuss with board members during practice so we can help with alternative arrangements.
